Hallie Tankha, PhD

Dr. Hallie Tankha is a clinical intervention researcher and licensed clinical psychologist. Her primary research focus is studying the psychological and social aspects of chronic pain. She is actively working to develop and test interventions for patients with comorbid chronic pain and psychosocial trauma, with a specific interest in utilizing stepped-care treatment approaches to increase access to care and lessen the burden of the pain-trauma comorbidity. Her research has been published in prominent health and pain peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Tankha earned her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Cleveland State University and her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Wayne State University with a specialization in health psychology. She completed her pre-doctoral internship in clinical health psychology at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio and a postdoctoral research fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in the Department of Wellness and Preventive Medicine. Dr. Tankha has clinical expertise in the areas of chronic pain, women’s health, acute medical trauma, relationships, anxiety, and depression.
