Amanda Shallcross, ND, MPH

Dr. Amanda Shallcross is a behavioral scientist, board-certified naturopathic physician, and founding Director of the Center for Research and Training in the Department of Wellness and Preventive Medicine at Cleveland Clinic. Her research combines her expertise in clinical health psychology, psychophysiology, emotion regulation, mind-body treatment approaches, and population health. Dr. Shallcross’ research specifically focuses on developing, adapting, and testing mindfulness-based interventions for people with depression and co-morbid illness, with an emphasis on scalability, accessibility, and health equity. Her work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the American Heart Association, and the Mind and Life Institute.
